For much of her career, Jessica Hottman has thrived in the spaces between genres, moving effortlessly from folk and gothic influences to synth-driven experimentation. With “Barefoot and Haunted”, however, she arrives at something that feels less like a new chapter and more like a long-awaited homecoming. Released under her own name following years of work through various projects, the track finds Hottman embracing a sound and perspective that feels wholly her own.
